  • "This poem broke my heart. "arms impressed with patterns . . . like bike tracks frantically painted on fresh asphalt." My favorite line. "stinking skin grafts" really portrays the the damage that is so humiliating for her to endure under the guise of love. I think that your imagery is too fabulous to have studied unhealthy relationship in literature. That's probably the worst thing of all . . . that you may have really gone through something like this in some way. This is such a visual, emotional work that in some ways it's actually uncomfortable to read- it's shockingly real and upfront and absolutely beautiful."
