- "As an aside, if you haven't yet checked out the work of The Dybbuk, I think you might appreciate his work. His writing is filled with worthwhile philosophical meanderings about life. Again, good to see a new piece from you and I hope you have had some success in getting published. It can be a political game centered around "who you know", but you are definitely a worthy candidate! The current winner of the Man Booker Prize, Marlon James, had his first book rejected over 70 times... I will always hold that as a personal encouragement to persevere! : ) "

- ""eyes unaccustomed to enlightenment, slowly
but surely, this patient sociopath,
life is killing us all" - excellent closing to this piece. I love this work, it flows so well and contains the enlightened view from an armchair placed amongst rustbelt scenery. Very cool vibe to this one. Additionally, I suspect we are at a similar season of life and the hopefulness, observation, and philosophizing is tempered by the reality of the life that is seen, felt and experienced. That is how is speaks to me anyway. As always, your new works are anxiously anticipated and eagerly devoured! Ciao, T/S"

Tropical, you are right about the recurrence of fine, and thank you for being gentle. I've switched it up a bit. Thanks very much for the warm thoughts."

- "great piece! i love all the gritty imagery interspersed with the fantasy elements from Oz. My fav imagery and one suggestion are in the same lines, "Over the beanfield, after the tornado
young eyes find a waterlogged rainbow struggling to breathe
but find only beer cans and weeds at the uncut tip
evening comes on fast, begs the end of the color spectrum"... I love the notion of a waterlogged rainbow trying to breathe, but but there is also something slightly off in this segment. I think it is the use of the word "find" in such close succession, with the second contradicting the first use a little bit. first, they find the waterlogged rainbow, but then they only find beer cans, etc. it seems like the second use of "find" would work better if you use something like "along with" instead. just a thought, as I say I absolutely love that imagery in total, including the beer cans in the weeds. ciao, T/S"

- "this was a very witty piece loaded with quotable lines throughout. the schemer, the black widow, that wants what a man can give...well, except for his company. :). i loved this one! Ciao, T/S"

- ""the single drop of ink that foreshadows
the period that will conclude the final chapter", that is a great line! I also love the notion that "and I’ll probably see you on the other side,
where I’ll be casting stones, patiently
waiting". I like this piece very much, excellent flow and intellectually stimulating allusions. Ciao, T/S"
