- "Perhaps the lack of comments to this masterpiece is simply a stunned silence. What's wrong with you, DP, that you would let a gem like this sit there without any comments or compliments? Whenever I write a poem in the 5-7-5 style it is this write I use as inspiration. I am happy that this became PotD. Very deserving of the honors, this work. The quiet can quite stabbing, in particular when we become accustomed to the noisy chaos of life. Silence can be golden, but I get this. Great piece for Autumn. Thank you, TPU, for doing what you do. You are one of my top role models in this place & I hope you know how much your words often mean to me. I had pretty much given up on the art of the word until I began reading your stuff. I don't even have to hear them to feel their pain...The thought alone makes me depressed. It's a good poem and even though i like Christmas, I would probably read this on Halloween... "
