Political Poppycock

By Spiked Tongue

Nothin but lies, anger, poverty and deceit
War, death, brokenness, and defeat
This nation, this whole world is falling to its death
It will eat itself alive until there’s nothing left
The feelings we have about other people’s countries
Is hunt them til there gone, or everyone will hunt me
The diseases and the plagues that burn through countless nations
The uncanny regulations, like no blacks should be w/ Asians
Cause the interracial thing is not what we’re about
We are about instilling dreams and then knocking them down
The grotesque American persuasion
shows other people we can make it
Like if you got a problem go and hit em' in the face
Scream some loud but hurtful shit and put him in his place
Start a war between families or something else real low
Then pay the judge his money and “sir you are free to go”
Yeah that’s showing other countries we solve problems really well
If one man kills another we will send them both to hell
The polar bears die and the rainforests wither
As I sit and hold a crying, fatherless little sister
My fathers in the air force and granted he's overseas
When the stories hit the news I go weak at the knees
The leader of our nation, the president, what a sleaze
Someday I pray he dies at the hands of the Iraquis
He can't even protect his own God Damn troops
He marches them in circles so they die in larger groups
If he cared a little more people wouldn't have to die
And we wouldn't have to hold the grieving mothers as they cry
