Lost

By Spiked Tongue

where did the innocence of this little child go
where does the water at the end - the river flow
where is the light at the end of the tunnel
and where is my small shard amongst the rubble
where is the delight that once filled her face
and where will it go as it runs from this place
where is the young girl who once ran in the yard
And where is her father who once beat her so hard
where are the torn jeans once resting on her hips
And where has the sparkle gone once nesting on her lips
Where has the breath gone once in her lungs
And where is the spring in her step thats now sprung
Where is the dress worn to junior prom
And where is her "loving" and once "faithful" mom
How many scars litter her arms
and wher is the blade that cause so much harm
where is the confidence once in her mind
and where is the virginity she left behind
Where are the peices of her broken soul
Can you take me there? Do you know?
She'll soon be in casket, in the ground
next to an open feild
Then her soul will raise, high into heaven
and all her sickness healed
Though now she awaits dark and alone
shivering and scared
Inside my mind if you'll brave the unknown
she lies dying there

I can feel the hurt and anger. No one should have to go through experiences like these.Innocence should be given away, not taken.
