lost thoughts in an empty room...

By Jane

I listened
Just like you said
I held my ear to you
But all I could hear was the wind
And I realized that you’re nothing...
Nothing but an empty shell

And now all I am
Is where you are…
I’m the hollowed ground
That holds you in your sleep
