As my heart tears in two

By EnlightenedFailure

What I feel inside confuses me much
Always am I longing for a touch

My words spill forth onto your ears
Feelings bottled up for many years

But no longer is that flame alive
Long ago that chance has died

That look of care
Now a menacing stare

No longer do you giggle
But instead an uncomfortable wiggle

You stare off wishing to be anywhere but here
Though I wish I could keep you near

But alas I cannot
For now it is another that warms your cot

But I will be there always
Now till the end of days

Though the pain I caused will not
For a ticket is what I bought

A ticket to leave this pain
For all that is left is disdain

No longer can I bring a smile to your face
For that I quicken my pace

And now I come to grip with my fears
That all I will bring you are tears

So I run now as fast as I can
But know that it is not you I condemn

For it is but one of the vices of caring
Your heart will always end up tearing

So with my ticket in hand
I begin my trip to my home of sand

That feeling of knowing someone else is loving one we still love... yeah we all can relate there. Nicely spoken. :)
