Breathing in the Miles.
By Armor for your life
Every time I breathe you seem a little bit closer
So I think I'll hold my breath.
With fingers laced,
I'm falling to the ground.
Screaming to the one who has never taken my requests.
"Oh God I hope you hear me,
Say this is temporary.
I've suffered this one too many times."
I wonder,
Did you mean
All those things you said?
Even when you said you'd never change.
Though my lungs are aching now
From trying to bring you back.
I still have enough strength to say,
"Every time you run away,
I know you still have memories."
I'm still loving you.
Exhale...

For me, every time I breathe he seems a little bit farther away. I'm not expecting that to make much sense to you, but I can assure you that from what I've read of yours, our situations are astonishingly similar. Beautiful write.

"I know you still have memories." Those people who are so apt to run when the world goes black and leaves them believing nothing's ever going to be okay again will always be burdened with the thoughts of what they left behind. ~*Beth*~
