Lost and Found

By Wren

I once was lost but now I'm found
Looking at scenery all around
I feel like a bird flying high
Up in the sky, telling the world goodbye
The people all small, like tiny ants in the sand
I'm scanning the earth, like a dove searches for land
Family and friends left down on the ground
I once was lost but now I'm found
The stars in the sky, light up the night
As I'am the dove, no land is in sight
The green grass and blue waters, the zebras, the otters
The beautiful women, the beautiful men, all the beautiful people and their children.
My mother, my father, my uncles, my aunts
They live on their lives, they take not a glance.
My life as I know it, no longer exists
I build up my courage, I tighten my fists
I once was lost but now I'am found
The people I once loved, no longer around
They wish they were here, and yet, I do not
I fly through the sky, they think random thoughts
The beaches, the sand, come along with me, come take my hand
We'll walk along beaches, we'll walk along sand.
We once were lost but now we're found
All we have left, is to plant our feet on the ground.

I'm wondering what the symbolism in being found is...what did you find? what found you? that keeps your feet on the the ground...
