Lies?

By Mattie

My first poem here. I'll get better with practice I hope

"With apologies to Hiliare Belloc"

Matilda told such dreadful lies
It made one gasp and stretch one's eyes.
But 'Tilda’s lies were special too,
‘Cos deep within her heart she knew
That sometimes what seem lies are true.
