Leaving Home

By Dead _Poets _Shadow

I soon leave this town
With memories of my past abound
I cry alone
Not a sound is heard
I’ve gone away
I leave this town of shame
For destiny and my past call my name
Please don’t mourn for me
You’re not the one to place the blame
The world holds nothing but shame
I wish we didn’t end this way
I’m sorry we won’t meet on this night
As shadows fill my veins
The pain is taken away
For I cry no more
As tears of blood hit the cold hard floor
Forever I will mourn
My heart is forever torn
With a relinquished moon
I leave thee soon
On a cold winters night
The moon consumes
As I let go of memories of you
With this I bid farewell
For the world never knew me
The memories of me
Will remain with you through and through
