No longer can I stay
The pain grows every day
The dreams have gone away
Memories have faded away
All the good has died away
The ghosts of the past remain to this day
They have never gone away
Why should I even stay?
I can’t run away
For that causes more pain
Why can’t I fade away?
Cast and treated like dirt
They don’t see how much I hurt
For what its even worth
I will leave this home of shame
For they will never remember my name
For it is a name of shame
A lie of a life I lived
So that others may live
The pain goes away
The day I leave is when I never look back
On this forlorn home
That was never my real home
