Parting

By AnotherWitheredRose

Everyone's the same here
Everyone's the same
It seems to put your sparkles to shame

Cut out the (w)holes
(The once burning circles)
That make up your eyes
And stagger in the steps
Of your own demise

I will write the eulogy
A tribute to a fallen star
Beauty reduced to ashes
And regretfully opening old scars

Bleed out a filthy lining of disgust
Blood so dirty it turns to dust

Tears form, a mo(u)rning dew
Quietly I'll cry for you
-Transparent hopes dripping from opaque eyes-
Though not as dim as yours…

Why did you let the light go out
And the color from your face
(When will enough be enough)
Your sparkle has been erased

So blend in
Fade away
Kiss the stars that seem to stray
Say farewell and wave your hand
Go make your mark on a different land

I hate to see you burning out
But I'll be damned if I don’t watch
Your astral spirits route

Adieu, Adieu
