Ecstasy in Shadows

By icebat

He sits waiting in shadow, wreathed in darkness,
Silence.
She stumbles out of the late night party a little buzzed,
Weary.
He feels his heart race as he sees her,
Anticipation.
She fumbles the lock on her car door,
Disquieted.
He brandishes his knife, gleaming with moonlight,
Preparation.
She catches a glint of light from the shadows,
Fear.
He bounds towards her silently,
Madness.
She tries to scream as his hands close over her face,
Panic.
He pulls her head back and cuts deep into her throat,
Perfection.
She stops struggling, consciousness fading with each heart beat,
Dissolution.
He stoops down to kiss the gapping wound before disappearing into darkness,
Ecstasy.
