Midnight Hill

By Eric

Sitting, wishing very still
Stars overhead fade into dark
Minutes tick by, flicker fly
Peaceful water passing by
Laying, swaying breezy trees
Filling up my very being
Alone, alone
Nothing but the wind
Alone, alone
Lying on my back
Looking up to the midnight sky
Stars are falling
The moon above so blue, so true
Playing its midevening waltz
How wonderful it is to be
On Midnight hill
Alone, and free
