Picnic Park
By Future of Despond
Teflon sheets and
geiger counters
checkermarked
just another day
chickwatching
in greentown park,
after dark
"Buttons are for shirts
zippers for pants
personal prohecy, but
can never have enough straps."
"Ambidextorous? you bet
with those meter long
triple jointed arms,
dandny longlegs
with a safetynet"
"Ignore the black leather
rope and filed teeth
really just a sweet girl
dining out"
"six hundred pounds
but mostly, all skin and
bone
white alabaster"
"could be the moonlight
or maybe it's the radiation
but she's got eyes like
exploded sour oranges."
"Missed an arm
or four, look-
ending in
planamel talons
longer than six
inch heels"
"looks like she's coming this way"
"yeah."
"...shit."

sounds like spandex-enormity crossed with pallid she-devil of surreal aspects... very troubling, and thus profound

elegantly normal. oh, when we can simulate being parts of our own observations, where will we ever be.
