Plastic Pillows
By odetobarbie
shape-shifting concrete castle
moving from rooms without windows
to a darker way of life
shining example of a bleak
yet otherwise perfectly dismal day
split hairs precariously perch
on my delicately charged wire
acid rain threatens my parade
with a hand cannon and a wink
curiously lopsided cells taint
precious vials of fashion junk
silver lined jackets
resuscitate my weakness
tainted blood supplies
thread sinful promise
defy bastard phrases
drowning new perspectives
how long do we awake
to sunshine and slavery
binding us to deafening tunnels
capacity limiting strength
rein the spending
off my soul

"a hand cannon and a wink" The mixed metaphors you use capture life, and I am sure, the conflict we all find within it.
