Shards of glass (Revised)

By smearedXmakeup

whispering lullabies, you throw to me your lies made of glass.
that slit my smiles, carving into my laughter.
you break them into pieces, into those shards of glass,
everything you built up, everything we made together.

I'm starting to think that you like it when I'm dying.
I'm starting to think that it's somehow fun.
to watch emotionless while I'm crying,
and laugh at me when I tell you I'm done.

You know I'm not, you know you're like my addiction.
I'm not as strong as everyone likes to think,
you can break me into pieces baby, and i'll still give you affection.
I'll always run back to you, no matter how far you make me sink.

"poor little girl," everyone calls me, "Let's watch her break."
It's like a game everyone loves to watch, It's funny I guess.
Baby, this is some kind of entertainment that we make,
I'm thinking there is only one way to make this pain rest.

So i'm making it all stop, i'm letting everything go.
It's time to quit this game, time to whisper goodbye.
I really do love you baby, i love you more than you know.
I've given you everything baby, it was you that took my life.
