Puppet

By Sigh on Sunday

Think your thoughts
They are yours to think
Hate me now
Let the disgust within you sink
I feel like those in the heavens
Knowing which pieces fit
Which players cheat
Where you, the pawn, sit
Despise me, detest me
I really don’t care
I want you to believe in
The hope that isn’t there
Be blissful with your life
In your world full of lies
I won’t be there
When the marionette show dies
Again, hate me
I deserve such an ode
Because I refuse to show you
What is meant to be shown
You will never know why
I chose this yellow path
It’s because I love you
And I know I’m in the past
