Smoke Detector

By InsipidTouch

Feeling like a child inside
Knowing that I’m still too young
Learn to love and play
Letting the sun soak in your skin
Burning the touch on the outside
Altering your senses
Help me to see
Mature enough to understand
But immature to know what I want
Found the words stuck inside
But I don't know how to pronounce
Giving in to the unknown
Sorry for the way I am
Always making things complicated
'I am the source of all your problems'
Too daft I am to share what I mean
Mainly because I don't know
Feelings scattered across my brain
Picking and choosing the ones you like
Throwing away your trash
Empty the hands with trickling blood
Notebooks filled with nonsense
Waiting for the day when smiles come
Your eyes fill with heat
When I didn't mean to make you
It's like living in the shadows
Trying to fix a light bulb
Search for the switch
Problems will then fade away
Tears are flowing down her face
'Think before you speak'
Hand gestures awake the mood
My sleeves are already dirty
Smearing this painting on the walls
Silver lining above all things
Afraid of what others think sometimes
Leave the body on the table
Dine around the corpse
For in his eyes your never stupid
Beautiful and that's it
I hear a break down
The main idea with a million questions
Past makes you scared of speech
Honest mistakes covered in mud
Smiles are just around the corner
Kept splashing in your puddles
No standing forward
Greatest flavor dressed in red
His white rose with a few thorns
Breaking the skin at the touch
Never will I leave your sight
Whispering into your ear
'Forever I love you'
Squeeze your hand tighter in mine
Feel the thuds of the heart
A fast pace sprint
Coming in first place
I'll be cheering for you every step
Your number one fan
Supporting you until the end
The pages they fill with memories
Destination hidden in the petals
You picked me among them all
A day I never thought would come
When I'd feel at home
Let me sleep on your chest again
Heart beat is one with mine
A perfect fitting hug
'I'm melting in your eyes'
