Anticipating
By Just a Rose
Days pass
Autumn’s quite whispers
Leaves the trees in a blush
The days seem to retreat
As night makes its advance
Its long reign is over
My friend is here
And it comforts me
Shortened days
For dwelling on my seclusion
The nights refuge
My harbor for thoughts
Here is where I wait
In my castle in the clouds
I wait here
Anticipating for my time
days will be on my side
life will be worthwhile
One more bitter winter
Out of so many gone
With paradise just miles away
I pray I can make it
To see Eden’s green garden
For now I am surrounded
By the changes of fall
