Bird

By Dark Galaxy

starling caught by cat
nebulae trapped in feathers
dirt, feathers, claws
bird blazes with life
flickers then fades
the universe inhales
cat bristles larger than the earth
flicks its paws
the dead bird twitches

Thanks funguy. I like your comments. I wasn't sure it reads too well - a little staccato.

staccato here is a sure positive ... theres nothing more perfectly "stop action" ferocious as a cat clamping down ... theyre killing machines .. again , dig it .. funguy
