Better Than Suicide

By Empathy

When everything's made to be broken
There's no point in keeping the faith
Lost the innocence that me hoping
Mourning the death of those days

Failure and loss since the beginning
Saw redemption is any new face
Suicide in the ways of sinning
Anything to fall from grace

Relationships were dreams I chased
Wore my wounds on my sleeve
Sick of my constant tear stained face
Erasing me was a relief

Addicted to rejection
Despair more tempting than suicide
Each loss was another injection
Time again to wallow and cry

An open wound relentlessly burned
No longer naive with blissful hope
Scarred by obsession with getting hurt
I'm finally numb but unable to cope
