In The End

By addicted_angel

I saw you there standing
In patient white sand,
With your head in the ocean
But feet on dry land,
When my eyes met with kindness,
And my heart did so sing
When the dark inflicts blindness
How that brilliance does sting.
Now being hooded from vision
Can be met with no ease
And so I remain buried
Just a crab by the sea,
Growing tired and weary
Of all these thoughts and this theory
Of the slinging invectives,
And dreams dark and dreary.
In a world want in hope
And in locking of doors,
In living fast motion
And the loathing of lore.
And while under this veil
Lives a majestic dark grin
Against all hating sinners
From which the world did begin,
When you reach out to find
Your lover’s hand has grown cold,
You should know this offender
Comes from the soul of the old
And though I remain silent
You will soon come to see
That all of creation
Ends with this crab by the sea.
