I am me

By FlashDark

i feel like my life
has a wrinkle in it
something thats unresolved
people who overindulge
are compensating for a void
some void in their life
thats undiscovered
adhearing to unwrtten laws in life
rules that i follow
thinking i will be happy
but ive learned
there is no absolute pattern
to this crazy thing called life
concentrating too hard
dwelling too much
on trying to be happy
rules can restrict
rules can muffle a person
not allowing who they really are
to shine through
i want to shine through
i dont want to just cast a silhouette
i want to burn throught the facade
burn through the emphasis
society has put on the physical
the emphasis on material objects
i want to show everyone
who i am
what i stand for
