drowning

By whispers in the night

I am already drowning my own world
With nothing to save me
You continue to make me sink down
Into the cold, piercing, crimson depths
Each time you hear me whisper
Or even start to cry
You punish me for my sadness
My willingness to dive
Down into the cold waters
Where I cant breathe at all
The salty tears choking me
Not allowing me out to call
To pray, to wish away
To have it all disappear
You’ve let your secret out again
About how you really are
You weight me down with the chains
Your own anchor of lies
Your words and taunts ruin me
Black now are my skies
Water is now my air
And my lungs fill with the salty blood
Swirls of darkness is all I see
My lips part, to say Mafatu y last word
All it is
Is
“please,”
