The Ocean of My Heart

By dropsofhate

sidewalks cracking
like my lips
she never found the courage to kiss

dead mans walking
hes walking
walking

deep into the ocean
of my heart
I felt it split apart

this is'nt working
your timing
this steep mountain I'm climbing

we came here with invisible words
that seemed to glow

my heart pounds for you
my skin pales for you

my soul
it lives for you.

I had no idea this was upon us
it came out of the sky
and into my chest

with a twist
it flowed into my wrist
and ended with a kiss

smearing the tears away
you floated so far away
deep into the ocean
of my heart

I watched her rip us far apart

your words ended the beating of my heart
I fear I'm splitting apart

she promises not looking into my eyes
the end is near
the end is here
the end is near
the end is here
