Capricorn's Reflection

By HiImFromJupiter

Going through the motions
Putting on a face
Lack of all emotion
Except perhaps disgrace

Your false facade appealing
Your smile properly in place
No hint of any feelings
All long since been erased

You think that this is living
This dark and empty void
Incapable of giving
Feeling paranoid

You long to take ahold of life
Grab it with both hands
But emotion cuts deep like a knife
You must understand

For life is more than living
Some things you can't control
Each and every feeling
Is what makes up your soul
