War is Hell

By DarkPaladine

War is hell so they say,I got a taste
of it today.Bullets wizzing all around
bombs were falling to the ground.
Men would scream, some would shout some
were running all about.Men will cry and
men would die and only God would know the
reason why.
Over head the planes would fly, while on
the ground people would die.Blood will
cover much of this land.
I try not to think how much is on my
hands. The order comes for us to take
this hill, the time has come,to kill or
be killed.
We all got up and we all ran.Who the
hell came up with this stupid plan?
It is cloudy and starting to rain
and I suddenly felt this burnning
pain.I did not get to see much of
the main attack.
I am laying here dieing in the mud
on my back.Yes war is hell so they
say.I got a small taste of it today.
