after the bombs are dropped

By Swooping Synod

women and children
will be the first to go
after the bombs are dropped

who are we to care about them?
what have they done for society?

words meant but never out-right
spoken from this forked tounge
devil having control over our
homes,our lives,our choices

self taught
dick
tator
ship

who are the dead that we cry for?

trampled before the veil of brutality
skinned and gutted with witch doctors precission
forgotten in a time extreme need
weakness is crushed in the hand of truth

what is the truth that's hidden from us?

blinded by the medicine man
in his daily contributions to this
government playing king john
in the tale of robin hood and his merry men
changing the outcome of the ending

what are we but an expendable
character in their story?

cameo flunky didn't make the grade

don't quit your day job

This was interesting...The current saturation of war makes it difficult to face another war poem but you made it worth it...*thumbs up*
