Don't try...Shame on the Name
By physicalgraffiti
sneaking out and lighting up,
taking swigs out of vodka cups,
I don't want to feel like what i'm doing is wrong.
so don't sit there and sing to me your "dependable" song.
Don't even try, i'll remind you once more,
i'm a lost cause, and i'm shit to the core.
fuck you again and again if it's needed,
i'll shriek and i'll shout...until you have heeded.
as i slouch in my seat, the light beam above me,
i realize right now, that you'll never see.
you'll never understand, because your so devoted,
to sweetening our lives until they're caked and coated.
You're a fake and you know it,
but you never will show it.
you just sit and pretend to be perfectly noble,
to just not be related to this being of trouble.
i'll pretend to lose, and i'll play along with your game,
but on the inside, i'm exactly the same.
i'm the same little girl that produced all this shame,
the same little bitch that ruined your name.
Don't sit there and try to make me feel naughty,
with that look on your face, and your attitude haughty.
I'm the same little monster that i was long before,
but you don't even notice; because i've walked out the door.

Some uses of rhyming don't exactly fit, but the way you rhymed this poem is perfect. I could read it over and over again, such powerful words. Especially the last two lines.. Wow. ~Wish Upon A Star

Tim got it right.. I too understand, but wish I didn't. This cuts very deep, and is indeed disturbing. Such incredible work, this will stay with for a long time.
