You Couldn't Understand
By forbidden
I'm the bearer of many a label.
You've tagged me,
like an urban artist sprays his overpass.
An open book or feelings,
the cause for my social expulsion,
fragile, and ready to cruble,
and the temple of pain.
An endless pain, only to show my love.
The more I love, the more I hurt.
Cast aside by the hive,
Marooned on a savage island.
My only company,
the remnants of your words,
each one burned into my heart and mind.
The mark of a love forever stamped,
red hot into my flesh.
Like a caged animal, that will die in captivity,
I'm lost, because you couldn't understand.
