My Righteous Death

By Death

As I walk through the valley,
All I see is shadows
All I hear are cries of torment
And all I sense is fear of I.

I know them all
I took their souls
A gift to a Lady
Prizes that I’ve claimed

Most never thought they would see my face
My scythe their souls did take
Into my eyes they did stare
Through their souls my silver blade did tear.

Death is my name
Some say murder is my purpose.
But I am what I am,
And what is there but fulfillment.

I do what I must
For some welcome me with open arms
While others run in terror
They hate to admit their time is up.

None finish what they plan to,
So shall I never finish
For while these fools live
I must continue to take that life.

I exist to extinguish the fire in their eyes
They confuse me for the father of lies
They do not understand my reasons,
That I am forever adding to the Great Majority.

My Lords knows entirely my fate
And for that I look upon them with love.
Mortals have named their end after me,
For I am the creature they call Death.

In their eyes I see eternal fear
A fear which forever lingers there.

Wow, great idea of how Death sees things. People afraid of something they cannot control or run from, when it's time..it's time. Great imagery ^_^
