Shadow of an Old Man

By ShadowFlight

The shadow of an old man
is a little boy trapped
between the wisdom of age
deprived of youth
the missing places of a life
hollow and empty
and the young boy wants
the old man to carry him
back over the hollow, missing places
so that he can fill them in
but the old man is blind
and cannot see his shadow
and the little boy with no voice
cannot speak
