Shadow of a Girl

By ShadowFlight

Chairs surround tables
that line walls
crowded with cups and cigarette smoke
chatter and flashes of color
artificially sheltered from grey mist
falling rain
love sits opposite, hate together
wild fresh washed hair
falls over a shoulder
and the only marring of perfect makeup
is one tear streak
only substance
on the shadow of a girl
