Daddy's Hand
By physicalgraffiti
Your Hand Flies.
My face trembles.
This is me.
That was you.
You Hit me.
A tear falls.
It hits the floor.
So deafening.
I hear you speak.
But all i can look at is your hand.
Will it fly again?
Will i cry again?
You see me staring.
Your hand elevates.
I watch it soar through the air.
Harder this time.
More tears.
A river forms, on the hard wooden floor.
You scream, how could you scream anymore?
My body gives in.
You continue to strike.
Limp, numb, cold.
I no longer feel and i let you wound me.
Why daddy?
Why Mommy?
What happend to our life?
To our hearts?
Are they really so icy?
I try to scream at you,
but your hands and arms smuggle my cries.
Giving in.
Letting go.
I feel the kicks, the hits, the screams...
but they begin to fade.
It stops.
I hear a gasp.
A sob.
The lights retire.
