Heart

By no_independence

Its always so cold in here
deep inside myself
forever hiding in fear
my heart up on a shelf

This pain I can not feel
it eats me up inside
though it can't be real
for in my heart
no soul reside

There is no hope left
why do I keep breathing?
all my dreams fall to death
my heart an empty beating

I call to you to set me free
but you will never come
for how can you save me
when your heart is also numb.

"For in my heart, no soul resides" That line owns me. Great work.

I like that you take the good with the bad in your comments, that shows a true poet..oh yes my cot.. I like this I like things that show your feelings.

i liked this a lot. you're writing skills are definitely very good but i think you could have been a little more descriptive, it would have added more meaning.
