Flamming Arrows

By Quovis

I saw you again today
Simple was I to think a heart can heal
A thousand flaming arrows shot through my chest
less than a minute did you hold me in your gaze
all awhile those arrows burned deeper
the fire burned so bad
no breath was I able to take
suffocating in your eyes, my vision blurred
my head swam
talking was near impossible
It must have been the dread of seeing you again
that these sensations surfaced
or maybe it is the love that still lingers within
But again you left me, arrows and all
Left me to ponder why my heart only burns for you

This piece did exactly what it should. It moved me. Despite the direction is the reminder of my own anger, or in other words my painful longing, it still moved me. Hopefully you're arrows have gone out.

Honest, simple, the real deal. The flow was ok, and the arrow is ok to use even if somewhat old. All in all. Enjoyed. Tiger
