trail of tears

By Deja vu

trail of tears
bloody footprints in the snow
lead me the way
to a cold dark day
follow the trail
to neverendingness
into the night of a solar eclipse
my breath i can see
took me from my home
into a dark desolate valley
my tears turn bloody
staining me,i taste the salt
its pure and innocent
naive in my own trials of the world
i walk barefoot to the bloodbath
the demons inside me
fighting this trail
wanting to flee
to find a new way
my world,my slave driver
pushes me so hard,no end in sight
i want to believe a new existance for myself
my dreams of a new world
lost in my reality
i will stay lost in this trail of tears
bloody tears that have no ending

I am glad you joined DP. I have never read work like this. It's refreshing. It's a different kind of "dark". It's reality. I can relate to your words so much. ~Drea~
