Quietus

By Flayed_Soul

Quietus: removal from activity; especially : DEATH

Quietus, I await thee
No matter what form you come to me.
Whether by bullet, blade, accident, or disease,
It'll take only a moment to put my mind at ease.
To forget about the doctrines and faiths with one strike,
And to leave behind loved ones and enemies alike.
Why give the gift to somebody who doesn't want to know
When I am waiting here, ready to go?
I am driven to madness; there's only one thing to do.
Tear body from soul, I leave it up to you,
Angel of Death, be cruel to me.
Enter my life, rape my safety.
Lay all of the pain on my back;
Torture me until I crack.
So much guilt for what I've done,
Never again let me project it towards anyone.
And I know I am not the only one
Who should see their last days under the sun,
For those left on Earth, know this:
It will be a long time before you know bliss.
For peace on Earth will only fall
When quietus comes for us all.
