I Am Still

The pain of hope
Held in the Dragon’s eye
The hope of love
Resounds in the fairy’s sigh
The love of the past
Swept away by a breeze
The past’s whispers
Carried in by the tide
The whispers of laughter
Hover over head in the moon
The laughter feeds the fire
Sweeping through the trees
The fire consumes my still beating heart
Till the pain of hope
Has left my thoughts
No more can these earthly qualms affect me
At last I am still
