The Plague of the Thought

By Elvolret

It plagues me so much,
The thought of your mental touch.
I don't want to think that you're dead.
That your pain, you have fled.

I pray that my thought is wrong.
Your presence, I so greatly long.
For you to leave all who care,
Is a thought that lingers in the air.

All of it points to that one thought.
Death, you may have sought.
My tears now run so free.
I so greatly hope that this cannot be.
