Make Up Your Mind

By JustAnEarlyBird

A broken mind;
Distorted reflections
In a shattered mirror-
And I-- lost in the shards

Between him,
And
My
Life

24; a place of dread
A ticking time bomb
Of empty promises
And unachieved goals

So young;
Yet growing so old
Another year wasted
"Only 'til 25"

Impatiently patient
A paradox of Time
Of "Then" and "Not now"
"Enough!" she cries

I'm losing footing
The world has shifted
Caught between a rock,
And a "promise" devine

How long should I remain
patient
When my patience
Is all but dry?

25. A well in a scorching desert;
A mirage.
Love is not enough.
Distorted reflections---

She can't be me!
Struck
Between a lie
And her life--

Why can't you
Just make up
Your
Mind?

    There has to be a trigger to it. We don't just, magically do it. We have to be provoked. Remember hope before you recount anything else. It's not a fix but, it can get you through.
