Magic Isn't Real

By coagulatewithin

I know magic isn't real,
Miracles don't exist
And love is just a fallacy that I cannot come to terms with
It's difficult to deal
With the pain and the hurt when
I've never met another I believed was truly perfect
The epitome of everything
I've longed for in my dreams
But I do not understand why you can't just follow me
Constantly i give my all
And express my loyalty
But blind to my efforts is the beauty that I see
Its ridiculous to think that you're the one for me
When I can't even get a smile, let alone intimacy
Describe the situation that I'm facing
With an empty bottle
Cause I'm fixated on the pavement
Where my soul was stained so awful
Constructed from the same place
I wander to in disgrace
Yet my heart ever yearns for you
Tired of the blame game
Pointing fingers calling names
I just want this to be true
But I know magic isn't real
Miracles don't exist
And love is just a fallacy that I cannot come to terms with...

I liked this write. Hard to find magic in love. If I had one criticism it's the way you structured it. It had good flow good rhyme. And the fact it's truth from your soul makes it beautiful. Kudos
