The Love Of Fantasy

By BlackRobedMage

A sea of blood washed with tears
The red sun bleeding above the horizon
Silent cries echo. though no sound is made
The cries of those lost to battle

She stands amists the burned corpses
Weeping for the loss of life
An angel mourns the massacre done
Her silver tears granting release

He rides across the open field
Black armor gleaming evil
Hatred seen in deepest emotion
Where his soul is not found

His horse stamps and snorts
She looks to where he stands
Raising his sword he charges on
As she whispers a silent prayer

Laughing at her foolery, aiming low
He is blinded by her pure radiance
White rodes gleaming as the sun
Causing falter in his movements

He looks upon her innocent form
Still surrounded by the brilliant light
Never before had he seen her so clear
Though many times they had met

His sword drops as his heart fails him
Losing himself in her silver eyes
She feels the same looking at him,
But realizes her mistake

The grows ever brighter
He watches her dissapear
The light consumes her frail figure
She goes home to the sky

He shakes his at his faliure,
And issues an almost sorrowful sigh
Urging his horse across the land
Sraight into the darkest night
