Friend - ink and paper

By Sapphire

Pen pressed on the soft piece of paper

Looking for the release the tears can't bring forth

The solace that the grip of the pen provides

The oh so sweet relief tasted on the tip of the tongue

The ready heart that wants to pour out the bottled feelings

The very trusted friend ink and paper
Listen to my cry now!

Scribbling incoherent thoughts

But ink and paper understands

It's the feel of someone listening to silent cries

That dries the tears and fatigue pull in sleep

For tomorrow's rants to spill over to another page

Trusted friend ink and paper
Today, whisper something back to me

Ink and paper has proven to be a poets strongest ally. And writing empties the heavy of hearts

There is great comfort in one's own creation on paper . A permanent reflection of our life captured forever there for all to see and share .
