Unwinable Battle

Distant thoughts, cloud my mind,
Visions of truth, escape my grasp.
Affection like poison, upon her lips.
Venomous words, spread like death.
Eyes cold, like winters chill.
Love a fantasy, a mere fairytail.
Simple gestures, a myth.
Meloncoly emotions, fill my heart.
A wave goodbye, as I depart....
