Obsidian

By Iron Blood Orphan

Holding together through the lights that shine

Failing to understand the past which bid you so well

I held you close and kissed your sympathy

Blooming from shattered pottery

You stand so proud, so very beautiful

In the face of all they have done

Please understand the horrors that seek you

Know the monsters who would desecrate you

Hold their name from your heart

You seek diamonds in the soul you've sheltered so long

Gleaming through ghasts never known by any

Breathing through masks grown of hydrangea

Don't look down.

I kissed your ice and stood my ground

Carry on and don't look down.

Reveals a clarity ironic, that you seem to see through the Obsidian. A striking flow you have created
