Long Ago Tomorrow

By SirEnders

Long ago in a life so near
No longer waiting in fear.
This numbness is exhilarating
Our hearts constantly pulsating.
I feel not, yet see everything
One day, Death shan't sting.
I love Him, yet he's so evil
But, He's cared since medieval.
He wishes to care for us all
When life makes us so small.
All our lives, we thrive for greed
Yet, not to better those in need.
We are all living to soon die
This is not some quaint lie.
You act high and mighty now
But to no one, will I bow.
Death is the final say
Life has only one way.
You can only go forward in life
Life will play his tune on his fife.
You can go any direction in Death
You don't even need your breath.
This Life is irrelevant
My Death is elegant.
