Endless Pursuit
By Damon Tarloth
( Dedicated To A Friend )
Like an abandoned child's ingrained fear.
Seeking what was never felt.
Arms of comfort safely held.
Bonding them to yourself...
Searching for what others have.
Hearten thoughts of life's distress.
Blissful dreams of a lover's touch.
Caressing heat forever bound...
Fate's continuous withheld jest.
Fairy-tale love found in myth.
A Distorted hunger to be found.
To Sate a never-ending emptiness...
Shattered hopes of euphoric bliss.
Fulfillment found in other ways.
Medicate sorrow's eternal kiss.
Comforted by illusions embrace...
Silent tears from absent needs.
A starvation seeking nourishment.
Passionate desires entwining two.
Intoxicating serenity sexual slaked...

a few more thoughts....
Society puts a lot of emphasis on certain values, what will bring you happiness,
what you should like, or dislike. Don't live, act, or think a certain way
because you are told to do so! Live the way you want, choose your own path,
and Never let anyone hold you back from following your dreams!!!
Everyone has "wants/needs" in this life, and most people will say "If I
could only have _______! I would be happy for the rest of my life!" Utter
Illusions of Grandeur of a one tracked mind. When that something is acquired,
another "want" will take its place. People are never completely satisfied...
What brings "Happiness" to one person, does not necessarily bring it to
another! As it comes in many different forms... The ups and downs keep
life exciting...
This is the first poem I've ever written that does not follow a rhyming
scheme. This was not intentional or unintentional. It is written the way
it came to me...
